It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a vehicle in a careless, heedless, or inattentive manner, or without due caution or circumspection, or in any manner not constituting reckless driving, but so as to endanger or be likely to endanger any person or property.

No person shall park any truck, trailer or semi-trailer having a rated capacity of twelve (12) tons or greater on any street within the City of Enterprise, Kansas, other than those designated in subsection (a), for a period of more than (2) hours. This does not preclude parking of said vehicles on privately owned property.

(a)   Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks.

(b)   Street, sewer, water, gas, electric and other utility, repair and maintenance vehicles.

(c)   Vehicles providing local deliveries of merchandise, goods or mail.

(d)   Vehicles used for the purpose of trash and refuse collecting.

(e)   Vehicles en route to parking on privately owned property.

When the following “No Parking” signs are erected and maintained giving notice thereof, drivers of vehicles shall obey the instructions or prohibitions provided thereon. Signs controlling parking as noted herein are to be erected and maintained at the following locations:

(a)   “No Parking” sign(s) to be erected on the south side of the 200 block of East Second Street in the city as needed to adequately give notice to the public that there is no parking along the entire length of the block.

(b)   “No Parking” sign(s) to be erected on the south side of the 400 block of East First Street in the city as needed to adequately give notice to the public that there is no parking along from the location of a “No Parking” sign as erected East to the corner of that 400 block of East First Street.
