A CHARTER ORDIANCE EXEMPTING THE OF ENTERPRISE, KANSAS FORM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 15-106 AND PROVIDING SUBSITIUTE PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF ENTERPRISE:
Section 1:
Exemption. The City of ENTERPRISE, by virtue of the power vested in it by
Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects
to and does exempt itself and make inapplicable to it K.S.A. 15-106 which
applies to this city but does not apply uniformly to all cities.
Section 2: Regular
and Special Meetings. Regular meetings of the council shall be held at such
times as shall be prescribed by ordinance, but not less than once each month.
Special meetings may be called by the mayor or acting mayor, on written request
of any three members of the council, specifying the object and purpose of such
meeting, which shall be read at the meeting and recorded in the journal of
minutes of the meetings of the council. In all cases it shall require four of
the five councilmember’s elect to constitute a quorum to do business; but a
smaller number may adjourn from day to day and may compel the attendance of
absent members in such manner and under such penalties as the council, may have
previously prescribed.
